Sept/Oct 2008

June 2008

*  Added a copy of the page in Joseph Gray's Civil War diary where he wrote his birth date, June 30th, 1833.

*  Changed the photo on the cover page to a Navy picture of my Dad, he was about age 19 in this photo.  The Middletown School picture that was there, has moved to the 'Kansas Photos' page.
Also removed a couple of bad links.

December 2007

*  Added a page for the Fairview Cemetery in Labette County Kansas (See the "Cemeteries" page). Just a couple of photos. Joseph & Mary (Tresslar) Gray, & her father Michael Tresslar's gravestones. I did take more pictures but not anyway near all of the gravestones.  I probably won't get them added here. So write me if you want to check and see if I may have taken one of your ancestors gravestone.

Oct/Nov 2007

*  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

*  Finished adding all the Lake Branch Cemetery (Clinton Co., IL.) pictures & info!

*  Added the index page & some photo pages for the Lake Branch Cemetery. You can find the link on my "Cemeteries" page. I'm still working on getting the rest online.

*  Added a little new info on the parents of Joseph gray, my 2nd g-grandfather. See the top of "The Gray Family" page.

Sept/Oct 2007

*  Corrected a misspelling on the Little Sandy Cemetery reading, see page 13, grave N7.  Infant child Charles L. Evans.

*  Adding the pages for the Lake Branch Cemetery in Clinton County Illinois.

August 2007

*  Major computer crash!  I'm getting everything copied to a new computer, but it'll take some extra time.

*  Added birth & death dates for Floyd & Lyle Hawkins, sons of William & Lottie Hawkins.  See the Hawkins family page.

July/Aug 2007

*  I'm working on the Lake Branch Cemetery recording, from Clinton Co., Illinois. I have photos of all the stones found here. I plan on getting it all on this website. It will take awhile, meanwhile if you have a question about a burial there send me an email & I will look to see if I have a photo of it.

*  Updated Irwin & Rita Muth's gravestone photo.

*  Removed the age at death I had on Elias Blevins gravestone at the Big Sandy Cemetery.  I need to recheck the info on the stone. (see Big Sandy Cemetery page 4.)

*  Added some more info on the children of John & Mary Hawkins.  See the Hawkins family page. Also changed Julius & Leah (Hawkins) Williamson's marriage place. They were married in Chandler, Lincoln Co., OK. not Kansas.

December 2006

*  Wow its been awhile.  I just added a new picture of John R. Hawkins with wife Mary J. (Schallonberger) Hawkins.  Check the Hawkins family page.  Thanks to Rima Hawkins for giving me a copy of this wonderful photo of my great great grandparents.  We're still trying to find out about what year it was taken.

*  I recently sent off for Jasper Williamson's Civil War pension file.  But today I received a letter from the National Archives stating that nothing was found.  I still think there may be some records out there.  Maybe I just don't have the correct information on him.  Disappointing.

June 2006

*  Added a copy of 1818 marriage of Frederick Crum to Sally Crisp. I guess I missed adding this one back in September when I updated the "Marriage Records" page.

*  Updated the Gray family's page with more dates.

*  I made the 'Surname Pages' available again.  But use "CAUTION" those pages have NOT been updated since 2004.  I'm sure there are some mistakes.  I took them offline for awhile because I knew I wasn't going to have time to keep them all updated. But here they are again, just keep in mind that the info may be updated elsewhere.

April 2006

*  Added a great photo of my Grandparents, Oran & Helen, with my Dad Kenneth & Aunts Margie & Catherine. Taken about 1927. Probably the last formal photo taken of my Grandma Helen (Gray) Williamson before she died.

*  Updated Emaline Forbes birth date. She was born Jan. 11, 1847, not 1817. She is buried at the Little Sandy Cemetery, Wilson Co., KS. daughter of William & Louisa Puckett. Sorry for the previous error. See Little Sandy Cemetery page 1, grave A27.

*  Added a page for Jasper Williamson, the son of Shadrack & Sarah (West) Williamson. Click on Jasper's name on the "My Family Tree" page.

January 2006

*  Added new info & pictures to the Gray families page.  Also new information & a photo of my 3rd great grandfather Michael M. Tresslar's gravestone. He was married to Rhoda Jones.

December 2005

*  I've added a page for Asa Williamson, the son of Shadrack & Sarah (West) Williamson. The same Asa that many have listed as the son of Elias & Malinda (Marcum) Williamson.  Go to the "My Family Tree" page and click on Asa.  Read my page and let me know what you think.
I also added a little information on Mary Jane Williamson, daughter of Shadrack & Sarah Williamson.

*  Added some more information to the "Gray Families" page.  Also some of the wonderful old pictures my family has saved for many years!

November 2005

*  Finally added all the text to the photos on the Big Sandy Cemetery pages. Now I have a complete record (as of May 2005) of the Big Sandy Cemetery in Woodson Co., KS. online.

*  Added a couple of helpful web links to the "Contact & Links" page for finding Kansas vital record information.

October 2005

*  Added the "name" of the cemetery at Hall Branch in Martin Co., KY. to its page. My dear cousin Peggy Mills sent me the name, its called the "Sanford "Saint" Williamson Cemetery, she got the info from the Martin Co., KY. Historical Society's newsletter. I didn't have the name added here before. The Historical Society recently published a recording of the graves there.
"Thanks Peggy". I've also added the names & dates that I didn't have pictures for. With this new info & my photos w/info, we now have a complete transcription up to July 2005 for this cemetery.

*  Still working on a page of pictures & info of Abisha Williamson & family. The pictures are owned by Rita Louk, she has given me permission to use them here. "Thank you Rita".  I've uploaded what I've done so far. Go to the "My Family Tree" page, then follow the links.

*  Added a page for Sarah Ann (West) Williamson's records. Click on the "My Family Tree" link and then on Sarah's name. Also added a page for her son Amos & his family.

*  "Well, it'll be October in a couple hours" Made a page for Shadrack Williamson.  It includes links to copies of the records I've collected on him, census, marriage & land records. They're all pretty hard to read. Click on the "My Family Tree" link and then on Shadrack's name.

September 2005

*  Added the marriage records I collected in Kentucky.

*  Inserted some more information on Naomy (Crum) Williamson on the "My Family Tree" page.

*  I removed the pages of names & dates that I haven't had time to research completely myself.  Hopefully I'll have time someday to get through all those names & then include the sources with the information here.

August 2005

*  All the cemetery photos are added. I'm still working on adding text to the photos.

*  I'm working on new pages for some of the cemeteries I visited in Kentucky & West Virginia.  Also changing the websites link bars.  You should be able to reach all the cemeteries from one page when I'm finished. I'm also adding new photos to my "Kansas Photos" page, formerly called "Middletown Photos."

*  Added/changed some info on the "My Family Tree" page. After finding some records on my KY/WV vacation.

*  Added 2005 photos of all the graves at the Big Sandy Cemetery in Woodson County KS. See the Big Sandy Cemetery link. I try to make up an index for these pages soon.

May 2005

*  New photo of burial at the Little Sandy Cemetery, page 21. Dale E. Clinesmith's gravestone May '04.

*  Added Marriage Certificates page.  There are links to photos I took of the records in the Fredonia, KS. Courthouse.  Its not the complete list, but it does include all the Williamson's I could find.

*  Added this info on Anthony Williamson, born about 1825 in Kentucky.   Parents: Alden Jr. Williamson and Mary Polly Ward.  He is shown with the Bell family #957 in the 1850 census of Lawrence Co., KY. with his Uncle James Williamson listed right before #956, & his brother Stephen Williamson listed right after #958, and then father Alden Jr. Williamson #959.  I recently found land records with Anthony, Shadrack his brother, & Alden his father all named on the land survey. While neither of these documents completely prove the family relationship, I'm sure enough to place him there, and will be looking for more information on him.

April 2005

*  After some census research I've moved the Wildie Williamson shown in the 1895 Woodson Co., KS. census with Jasper Williamson & family.  I believe this is a daughter of Isabelle P. Williamson-Holden-Steele (who is also living with Jasper & family) & her 1st husband "Unknown Holden." Not a daughter of Jasper's as I had shown here before. Wildie is living with Isabelle & 2nd husband G. P. Steele in the 1900 Wilson Co., KS census & shown as Wildie Holden. She is also listed as Wildie Holden in the 1910 census of Buffalo City, Wilson Co., KS. Clifton twp.

*  Joseph Williamson, obituary d. Oct. 11, 1900. from the Buffalo Advocate Newspaper.  See My Family Tree page.

*  Removed the link to the surname index & pages.  Their still published, but I'm not going to include a link on the link bar for now.  I need to get a bunch of the info updated & some just really need more research before I feel comfortable about listing them.

March 2005

*  Added more links to some good Kansas genealogy websites.
*  Added photos of the 1928 tornado damage in Rush Co., KS. See the links page for now. I may move this later.

* Just added photos of the "Big" Sandy Cemetery located just a few miles north of the "Little Sandy Cemetery, but its in Woodson County, KS. Pictures were taken Spring 2004. "Click" the link in the navigation bar to see the pictures.
* Also added two photos of Wallace Williamson's (b.1883 - d.1959) old home in Woodson County. Click the link found on the Big Sandy Cemetery page next to Wallace's grave stone picture.
* Changed Shadrick Williamson's death year to 1859, after seeing a copy of the death record (on microfilm, thank you Paul Henley).  Records were from the year 1859, not 1860.
* Added Kansas History Links to "Links Page".

December 2004

* Finished adding name links on the index pages.

* Added a link to a photo of Mary Jane (Schallenberger) Hawkins to "The Hawkins Page" in "My Family Tree".
* Added new info to "The Hawkins Page." See link from "My Family Tree" page.  A big thank you to Linda Dees for the William Hawkins information.
* Finally finished typing individuals info, uploaded the pages, also changed the order that the Missouri photos load. Still working on adding clickable name links and source links.
* Still typing in info on each person in the tree. (And it seems the tree grows faster than I can type!)

September '04
* Indexing all surnames found so far in the family tree.  Working on linking surname index pages to info pages.  Its going to take a while!
* Changed the layout of Neosho MO. pages. (info & pictures are the same.)

August '04
8/04 Added family note to Sarah Williamson's grave record on the Little Sandy pg 1.
